Defamation Case and the Possibility of Another Lawsuit
Noted Trump accuser, E. Jean Carroll, has made it clear that she is prepared to take legal action against the former president once again if necessary. In an interview on MSNBC, Carroll discussed Trump’s recent posts on his new social media platform, Truth Social, where he shared articles questioning her credibility.
Unyielding Resolve
During the interview, Carroll expressed her unwavering determination to hold Trump accountable for his actions. When asked if she would consider pursuing another case and seeking further compensation, Carroll emphatically replied, “Absolutely, absolutely.” Her lawyers, Roberta Kaplan and Shawn Crowley, stood by her side, showing their support.
Carroll acknowledged that the previous trial had its challenges but emphasized that many people have endured far worse. She declared, “I’m more than willing to do it again because we achieved so much in a seven-day trial. We did what people thought was impossible. We beat Donald Trump.”
Lighthearted Moments
In a lighthearted moment during the interview, Carroll playfully invited host Rachel Maddow on a grand shopping spree. She offered to buy new clothes and even a penthouse in France. Maddow chuckled at the eccentric suggestion, while Carroll’s lawyer, Shawn Crowley, awkwardly grinned and clarified that it was a joke.
Background and Previous Legal Victory
Carroll’s recent victory in court came after a federal jury in New York City found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation. However, they did not hold him responsible for rape. As a result, Trump was ordered to pay $5 million in damages.
Throughout the process, Trump has vehemently denied knowing Carroll and dismissed her allegations as fabrications. Nonetheless, Carroll remains resolute in her pursuit of justice.
