Agreement Reached on Terms and Conditions
Cobb County Superior Court Judge Henry Thompson has approved an order in the divorce case of Nathan and Joycelyn Wade. The couple, who have been involved in a contentious split, have agreed that the terms and conditions of the settlement will not be filed with the court.
Temporary Support and Attorneys Fees Resolved
Andrea Hastings, one of Joycelyn Wade’s attorneys, stated that all the issues regarding temporary support and attorneys fees have been resolved through this agreement. However, Hastings also emphasized that the case is not yet fully resolved and that there is still work to be done either through a final settlement or a trial.
Unsealed Filings Reveal Allegations
Last week, filings in Wade’s divorce case were unsealed, revealing allegations of an improper romantic relationship between Wade and another individual, with whom he allegedly went on lavish trips. These allegations were made by Joycelyn Wade’s attorneys, who sought to depose the individual involved to gain further information.
Accusations of Mishandling Public Money
The affair allegations came to light when an attorney for Trump codefendant, Michael Roman, accused the individual involved and Wade of engaging in an affair and mishandling public money in a separate court filing. The deposition of the individual involved is seen as crucial in determining whether Wade used funds on this individual.
Continued Legal Proceedings
The divorce case between Nathan and Joycelyn Wade has been ongoing for 26 years and remains unresolved. Both parties will continue to work towards a final resolution either through a settlement or a trial.
Legal Fees and Affair Allegations
County records show that Wade has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. Joycelyn Wade’s attorneys argue that the deposition of the individual involved is necessary to determine if these funds were spent on this person. However, the individual involved maintains that the alleged affair is irrelevant to the Trump case.
