Known for his outspoken criticism of both former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden, Charlamagne expressed his frustration with the Biden administration’s lack of urgency in a wide-ranging conversation.
Charlamagne Calls for Biden to Step Aside
During the interview, Charlamagne did not shy away from criticizing President Biden, going as far as calling on him to step aside to make room for other Democratic candidates in the 2024 presidential race. Despite having endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020, Charlamagne’s recent remarks reflect his disappointment with the current administration’s actions.
“You should be able to criticize whoever your elected official is, right?”, Charlamagne responded to Karl’s question about facing backlash from the White House for his critical comments.
Concerns Over Democracy
Charlamagne expressed concerns about the state of democracy in the United States, emphasizing the need for urgent action to address the threats he perceives. While he acknowledged the rhetoric about the erosion of democracy, he criticized the administration for not matching it with appropriate actions.
“You keep saying that there’s a threat to democracy, and democracy as we know it is going to be gone, but not act like it,” Charlamagne told Karl.
