Child Predators and Gang Members Apprehended
The US Border Patrol continues to make significant arrests along the border, taking dangerous criminals off the streets. In a recent series of posts on social media, Border Patrol Chief, Owens, shared details of the apprehensions.
Child Predator Arrested
In one post, Owens revealed that Border Patrol agents in Laredo, TX had arrested a Mexican national who was attempting to enter the country illegally. The individual, who had previously served 10 years in prison for the molestation of a minor, was apprehended and will now face prosecution under 8 USC 1326. Owens posted a mugshot and distinctive tattoo images of the suspect.
Gang Members with Criminal Histories
In another post, Owens highlighted the apprehension of two individuals in the Del Rio and Rio Grande Valley areas of Texas. These individuals were found to have gang affiliations and were involved in crimes such as murder, extortion, narcotics, weapons/human trafficking & prostitution. Owens emphasized the threat to public safety and the importance of having agents patrolling the border. The suspect’s gang tattoos were also posted on social media.
Border Bill Controversy
Meanwhile, the Border Patrol chief expressed his thoughts on the Senate border bill in an exclusive interview. Owens acknowledged that the bill had both positive and negative aspects but emphasized the need for action from Congress. Owens highlighted the importance of compromise and the urgency to address the ongoing border situation.
