McCaffrey: “I Will Not Let Anybody Pay to Watch Me Play”
Christian McCaffrey, the talented NFL star, has made it clear that he will not accept an invitation to watch the Super Bowl from a pricey suite. When asked about the offer, McCaffrey responded with a smile, saying, “She tried to, but I will not let anybody pay to watch me play. I had to nix that.”
Family Frustrations Over Outrageous Prices
On a recent episode of Olivia Culpo’s podcast, “Your Mom,” McCaffrey’s mother, Lisa, expressed her frustration over the exorbitant cost of box tickets. She mentioned that they had considered purchasing a suite but could not afford it. Even McCaffrey himself, known for his success on the field, acknowledged that the prices were too steep.
Culpo, who is engaged to McCaffrey, later surprised Lisa on social media by revealing that she had purchased a suite for Lisa’s birthday. However, it seems that McCaffrey intervened before the purchase could be made.
Donna Kelce, the mother of tight end Travis Kelce, echoed similar sentiments about the high prices, jokingly stating that she expects to be sitting in the stands with everyone else.
Focusing on the Wedding
While McCaffrey may draw the line at expensive suites for the Super Bowl, he and Culpo are undoubtedly going all out for their upcoming wedding. McCaffrey praised his fiancée for her exceptional planning skills and expressed gratitude for her support in allowing him to pursue his passion while she continues to work on her own career.
The couple has been dating since 2019, and McCaffrey proposed in April 2023.
