State Grants License to Thrive Cannabis Marketplace for ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ Lounge
LAS VEGAS — Nevada regulators have made history by granting the very first license for a cannabis consumption lounge in the state. The lounge, named Smoke and Mirrors, is owned by Thrive Cannabis Marketplace, a major player in Nevada’s cannabis industry.
Eagerly Anticipated Opening
The state Cannabis Compliance Board revealed the approval following an inspection by agents, paving the way for what is anticipated to be a wave of similar operations. With 19 lounges already granted conditional licenses, the industry is buzzing with excitement.
A New Chapter in Hospitality
Thrive Cannabis Marketplace is gearing up to open its doors to the public in late February. The lounge promises a diverse range of products, including unique offerings like cannabis-infused cocktails. Additionally, the venue will double as a space for local artists and musicians to showcase their talents, adding a cultural dimension to the cannabis experience.
A Boon for Tourism
Since recreational cannabis was legalized in Nevada, the introduction of consumption lounges has been eagerly awaited. These lounges are not only seen as economic drivers but also as a tourist attraction. Visitors to Las Vegas, who were previously unable to consume cannabis in public spaces like hotels, now have a designated spot to enjoy these products legally.
A Platform for Innovation
Chris LaPorte, the managing partner of RESET, a cannabis hospitality company based in Las Vegas, emphasized that Smoke and Mirrors is not just a venue but a platform for the entire cannabis industry. It aims to provide both tourists and locals with a unique experience and be a part of the evolving landscape of hospitality in Nevada.
