Over 1,500 users in the UK reported problems with Teams, while a similar number experienced difficulties with Xbox Live. The outages affected gamers attempting to purchase the latest Call of Duty release but have now been fixed.
Microsoft attributed the problems to an “artificial increase in synthetic network traffic” on X, formerly Twitter. The company made configuration changes to address the issue and confirmed that the problem has been resolved. The outage was initially unique to customers in the UK and Germany, but users in other European countries, including Sweden, Poland, Finland, and Switzerland, also reported issues.
This incident follows a previous outage in January, where tens of thousands of customers reported problems with Microsoft services.
