Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, recently stole the spotlight by wearing the exquisite Strathmore Rose tiara—a magnificent diamond-studded headpiece previously owned by the Queen Mother and unseen by the public for nearly nine decades.
The grandeur of the occasion matched the brilliance of the tiara as Kate adorned it during a state banquet held at Buckingham Palace on November 21. Her choice of attire was equally regal, featuring a white Jenny Packham gown adorned with a short cape and intricate gold embellishments. Completing the ensemble were earrings with a royal history, once belonging to Queen Elizabeth II, creating a tribute to two generations of matriarchs within the royal family.
The event saw Kate, alongside her husband Prince William, and her in-laws, King Charles III and Queen Camilla, playing host to President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeo and First Lady Kim Keon Hee in Buckingham Palace.
Notably, this wasn’t the first time the 41-year-old Duchess donned a tiara for a state dinner. In a similar display of elegance, she previously wore the Lover’s Knot tiara—a cherished piece once favored by the late Princess Diana—during a black-tie event that honored South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. On that occasion, she complemented the tiara with a cream-colored Jenny Packham gown and pearl drop earrings, which also held a connection to Princess Diana.
