Celebrating Christmas Amidst Grief
Country star John Schneider recently shared his anticipation for a challenging Christmas season following the loss of his wife. Despite having the support of his family, Schneider admitted that grief has a way of sneaking up on you when you least expect it. He acknowledged that grief never truly goes away but is something we learn to carry. Schneider and his family plan to honor his wife’s memory during their Christmas celebration.
Continuing Christmas Traditions
Schneider revealed that he would be spending Christmas with his in-laws and stepdaughter Jessica, who is expecting her first child. He expressed that his extended family through his late wife will always be his family, and he intends to keep their traditions alive. Although it’s too early for him to have concrete plans, Schneider finds strength in helping others who have experienced loss and encourages others to do the same.
Finding Inspiration in Grief
Following the passing of Paul Sorvino, a dear friend of Schneider’s, Sorvino’s widow, Dee Dee, reached out to Schneider and suggested they find a new project to focus on. Together, they created John Schneider’s Revenuer’s Reserve Premium Moonshine. The success of the brand has been overwhelming, with two runs of 10,000 bottles selling out in just three weeks. Schneider credits his collaboration with Sorvino as a way to heal and find strength in their shared experiences of loss.
A Tribute to Alicia
Alicia, Schneider’s late wife, was a veteran producer and actress. The couple worked together on various film and music projects throughout her battle with cancer. Schneider released a tribute album and co-wrote a book with Alicia, sharing their journey and her advice on being a proactive patient. The album and the book serve as sources of healing for those affected by cancer.
Looking Towards the Future
Schneider plans to continue expanding his moonshine brand and hopes to launch new flavors in the future. Additionally, he is starring in a family-friendly Christmas comedy and believes that the film will become a holiday staple for years to come. Schneider cherishes the opportunity to create wholesome entertainment that families can enjoy together.
