Former President Donald Trump has criticized the judge and clerk overseeing his New York fraud trial after a gag order that prevented him and his attorneys from speaking about judicial staff was temporarily lifted. Trump sued the judge in the civil case, Arthur Engoron, claiming the gag order was unconstitutional. The state intermediate appeals court granted an interim stay, allowing Trump and his lawyers to make public comments about court officials. The former president wasted no time in resuming his attacks on Judge Engoron, calling his actions “Radical and Unprecedented.” The civil trial, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, alleges business fraud by Trump, his sons, the Trump Organization, and its top executives. If found guilty, they face fines of $250 million and the potential dissolution of their New York real estate empire.
