In addition to the overseas reveal scheduled for July, a recent leaked image from a U.S. dealer meeting, along with a new teaser, has provided a sneak peek into what the future holds for the 2025 Kia Sorento. Notably, these sneak peeks showcase significant design updates that are sure to grab attention.
The most striking changes can be seen in the front of the vehicle. The headlights have been reimagined with a vertical orientation, creating a distinctive look. The grille has been widened and heightened, giving the Sorento a bolder presence on the road. Adding to the visual appeal, the “signature star map” Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) now run along the front corners and gracefully descend to the bumper. Complementing these changes, the hood has been reshaped to harmonize with the new design, and a faux skid plate at the bottom adds an element of ruggedness.
Assuming that the upcoming Sorento for the U.S. market shares similarities with its South Korean counterpart, the rest of the exterior is likely to remain mostly unchanged, with the exception of redesigned taillights featuring diagonal detailing and repositioned reverse lights integrated into the rear bumper.
However, the interior of the 2025 Kia Sorento seems to have undergone more significant revisions. The entire dashboard has been revamped to offer a fresh and futuristic look. The centerpiece of the new interior is a single curved display panel that incorporates a pair of 12.3-inch screens for both instrument cluster and infotainment functions. This innovative design choice adds a sense of cohesion to the cabin.
A unique feature is the wide air vent panel that spans the dash, providing a visually striking element and housing the vertical air outlets. Just below this vent panel, you’ll find the familiar dual-mode touch button panel, which facilitates control over climate and infotainment functions. Kia has also paid attention to the door design, introducing ambient lighting sections that contribute to an inviting and modern interior ambiance, drawing inspiration from the Kia Soul’s design elements.
All of these exciting updates are set to be officially unveiled at the upcoming L.A. Auto Show, where the 2025 Kia Sorento is expected to make its debut. The event promises to showcase the full extent of the changes and innovations that Kia has in store for its popular SUV model.
